I'm interested in making a hollow body tube lure. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help would be appreciated.

You need two pieces flat stainless or aluminum, 3/8- 1/2 inch thick by 2"; hinge on one end. Make it long enough for 10-12 holes. Clamp the two pieces together and drill 5/16" holes about 1 3/4 to 1 7/8" inches deep centered on the seam. Take a small flat piece and drill 3/16" holes to perfectly center on the holes you drilled on the mold. Put 3/16" bolts or rods thru the holes and secure on the flat piece. Drill 3/16" hole thru the mold to make a pour hole for plastic. Clamp the flat piece with bolts/rods on the mold from the bottom side. Rods should extend into the 5/16" holes 1/2 inch. Pour plastic from the top and fill the cavity. Open mold and pull plastic bodies out and off the rods and cut the piece where pour hole was. You have to make a multi razor blade cutter to cut the open hole, tail end of the plastic body in small strips. If you want a two color jig, dip the solid part in another color before cutting the tail. You'll have a jig body that looks similar to a rocky top jig body. If you want a tube jig, just make the rods longer so there is a hollow cavity almost thru the jig.

Thanks Ken,

I was hoping there was something I could buy, buy I'll keep you instructions in mind. I must say I don't see how this will be a hollow body jig.

My description is hard to follow, but picture a hole with a smaller rod in the middle. Then you're pouring plastic around the rod. When you pull the rod out, that leaves a hole in the plastic.
