Hi CatBoss - Not sure what you mean here....

For at least 4 years now anglers from Texas have requested TC products be sold at Academy. After so many requests the dept mgrs start asking corporate to check on these products. And yes.... Its just like Wal Mart. We now have FLE FLY bendable minnow jigging spoons in several WM locations because of customer requests.

I wish I could just stock everyone's shelves at will - but it jus don't work like that!

I've been very inactive on the forums for a while, but I'm planning on changing that. Anyways, I'm a Team Lead over fishing at an Academy and I was very surprised when I seen the products on my Pog when we reset the aisle! I spend alot of time in conference calls and sending emails to buyers and I can say that at least some of us do listen to our customers!

Hope someone can help me. I ordered my first tub (64 oz) of Secret 7 about 2 weeks ago direct from TC. Stuff worked great...used the entire tub over last 2 weekends with much success. I went to the Tyler Academy last night to restock and all they had were pint tubs. No big deal, I buy 5 pints and go fishing. When I opened the first pint, it was clear that it was very different from the previous 64 oz tub bought from TC. The Academy bait was very hard, a pale brown color, and was not creamy at all. It sorta looked like a punch bait with short fibers. The dip tube hooks would not carry this bait at all. The bait that I bought from TC was very dark brown colored, creamy, sticky and took right to the dip tube and performed well. The Academy stuff is unusable. I still had the old tub from TC and compared labels and the only difference I could see is that the big tub instructions said to stir and I didn't see that wording on the pint tubs. I assume that Secret 7 only has the single recipe??? Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like you got some Sudden impact instead. Try it with a bare #4 treble hook instead of a dip tube.

Could be mis-labeled, I suppose. Thanks.
