Fishing an offshore hump with a deep diving crank looking for post spawn bass and all I caught was a dozen crappie from 14/17 inches! I left them biting to look for bass...crappie had that spot on lock down! Maybe a pattern you guys might know but if you don't... Worth looking at. Fish were on top of 20ft hump surrounded by 35 feet.

I don't know how to fish for crappies but I catch what I'm told are big ones often while looking for green trash fish lol They look like great big bass spots but the crappie beat them to it I guess

What color and kind of crank baits?
I was on a pattern last fall with Strike King 3xd's & kept 48 crappie on my best day. They will reach a depth of 10'.
I fish for bass & crappie but will keep the better crappie for a fish fry!

 6th sense crank. In something or other shad. It's a big bait. Dives to 25 on 17lb mono Was banging it off the lip of the drop on the deepest side of the hump Had two on at once on a cast... Went for my phone for a pic bringing them up and one shook off... Oh well lol
