I don't usually post things like this but decided I would......
After a great afternoon on Hubbard I get to the east boat ramp at Robertson park to load up and find the boat ramp full. After further investigation I see that two of the boats were being worked on. After 15 minutes I informed them that they couldn't block the ramp and needed to move off so people could get off the water. Both ignored me and several other people that told them the same thing. Finally I called the boys in blue. By the time they got there one had decided to leave but the other was still trying to start his boat. By this time there was at least 10 people waiting to load. I have no problem with people working on their boats but do it when there's no ramp traffic or at least move when you see your holding up people trying to use the ramp.

A shout out to the boys in blue!! Thank you for your service!!

I got a boat ramp gripe too..... Went to Hubbard today and launched at Harbor Bay. I PAY the launch fee to be able to use the launch. On the way out, there are several people with their fishing lines thrown out across the exit lane. Sure enough my motor grabs one. Didn't get around the prop but REALLY. Make it out and run around a couple of hours just playing and wouldn't you know it. Coming back in there is a girl that throws here line with a cork on it right in front of me as I was coming in. I tell her, " Would you please pull that in so I can get loaded".. She says "It'll be ok" Shut the motor off, raised the engine as far as I could and still caught her line. Harbor Bay should inform the barge fishers to keep their lines out of the boat lane. That really ticked me to the core. Had to fish lines off my motor going out and coming in.

That sucks,.CWorthy! Mention that to the store.clerk and he'll take care of it. I launched there numerous times that never happened to me. Springtime fever at boat ramps? Maybe I missed out because I fish early and come in early maybe...

That's been happing a lot on that ramp last two times used it had deal with them.
Just wait until you get one that the boat stuck on the trailer they can't back up start with then the rear wheels start hitting the rocks and there pos boat trailer jacked knife and you're next to it.

I talk to quite a few guys yesterday at the ramp and it was the first time out this season for most of them. I think that is the reason they were having such a hard time getting their boats started. It's not a excuse for that kind of boat ramp attitude but I believe that is what is happening on the ramps.

Willie, it would have been easier to say "Cute" if one of two things had of happened. 1: If I had not had to deal with fishing line on the motor going out and 2: If she had actually been cute. frown sick

We were in the Skeeter that came in with you... I caught the police on the way in and sent them down there as well. Turning over an outboard Merc for 45 minutes will not correct problems because of failed rig maintenance. Completely clueless.

That ain't nothing. Wait until all the party boats this summer get in there and start blasting out FROM THE RAMP 40 to 50 mph wide open in a NO WAKE ZONE. And unloading their SUV's on the ramp with everything from their house--LOL--.That's one of the reasons i don't use that ramp. On top of the no starting rigs ---LOL--
