Hi Guys,

New to Kayak fishing, only been a few times and looking to buy my first Yak. Pretty much sold on the 12' Frontier from Nu Canoe. I want something that will be a great all around yak for fishing but also to sometimes bring 1-2 family members along, fishing or just a boat ride while camping.

Lot of setup options for the Frontier, definately want the raised swivel for my main seat, but then debating on what the 2nd and sometimes 3rd option will be. When its 3, the 3rd is my 3 yr old daughter, she may just sit up front on something padded.

Anyway, I would love to see some members setups, be doing mostly bass fishing on local small lakes and rivers. Trip to the coast a couple of times a year and fish the flats\bays on the intercoastal for Reds and Flounder.

Thanks, Billy

If you are located in the Dallas area I hope that you will make a trip to our store and check out our Frontier 12's & 10's for yourself. We have a Lime Frontier 12 is on display in our showroom so you can get in it and see how it feels! We have almost all colors in stock and are expecting another delivery of additional 12's in the next several weeks. In addition, we have the best assortment of specific NuCanoe and general kayak fishing accessories that you will find anywhere.

The new Rigid 360 seat base included with the kayak (with the swivel seat mounted) places you approximately 4" higher than the previous multi-seat base. Although now discontinued from NuCanoe, we still have several 7" swivel seat extension kits in stock. Regardless, I think that you will be most happy with the Rigid 360 base, as-is. You can add a multi-seat base for a perfect and safe bench for your little daughter.

We are planning to have a demo Frontier 12 at our Open House at White Rock Lake this Saturday from 10-4. You can get details on our website www.mariner-kayaks.com or feel free to call the store. We will also have Frontiers for you to demo at the upcoming TFF G2G at Lake Lavon on May 10th.

I'm going to be on the water tomorrow. I'll take my camera and do a quick run down on how I set mine up.

Definitely check out Mariner Sails. Thats where I got mine..great bunch of guys. Very knowledgeable, and unlike some of the places in town very friendly.
