There were 7 jugs just like this on RR some had 4 cats on them all floating like this one.The jugs were all up near the dam in the coves. What a waist.Jugs are in the trash now. If you going to run jug lines check them. and I know a TFF member would never do this.

It should be required by law that jug lines contain owner information or a special code that can be accesed bt Parks & Wildlife. This would help to make people more responsible so things like that don't happen.

I can't stand to see something like that, the people who do that should face fines from TPWD.

It's a bad thing that needs to change.. This year I got into jugs and trot lines. Me and my buddies never did that. We even took down the trot lines before the water level got to low.

Any type of legal device for taking fish that is left unattended is required by law to have a gear tag with the owner's name, address, phone number and date. They must be replaced every 30 days. We make ours from a piece of a plastic jug and tie it on with string.
If you find a trot line or jug line or yo-yo without a gear tag, I would say report it to TP&W. They take these types of reports seriously. Depending on where, when and the condition of the device, they may confiscate it or stake it out to capture the offender(s).
