Got a great farming family coming in to fish Ray Roberts with me this weekend. I know the lake is low but have not been on it in a while.

Any of you guys have a good pattern I could get this family on? I am thinking the fish will be in pre spawn and probably some spawn as well,,,,,going to target grass and use swim baits and rattle traps with some senkos and flukes thrown in there....My focus will be shallow earlier in the day and moving out to 8 to 12 ft later in the day...again focusing on grass and secondary breaks/points.

however - there are better sticks than me out there and I would sure appreciate a bit of advice. have not been on the lake in a year and all my spots may not be so good with the water down

Hope you all have a joyous Easter and thanks in advance.

You'll be surprised at how low the lake is. We caught them shallow on soft plastics a week ago. A few crappie shallow too.

You have the right idea. Big tourny there this weekend, so doubt you'll get much help. But do exactly what you said

You are right on with what you are planning. Find some good shallow milfoil and there are fish. At least its been really good last two weeks that way. Cold front knocked back and we didn't do as well yesterday...

I'd fish Lick and I would fish shallow. RHBC was out there last weekend and both sacks over 25 lbs came out of there. I'd have a buzz bait tied on too. Good luck.

I'd hit those creeks on the north side and doodlesock for some crappie!
