Iam about to purchase a new outboard which is most dependable Mercury or Evinrude E-Tech. Iam old school I cant buy japanese I like to spend my money in USA so it stays in the USA no yamaha.

E-Tech is Canada and some Mercs have Yamy power-heads so I do`nt know what to tell you.

Yeah, as far as going with strictly American made, I wish we had more options. Global production pools parts together to create pretty much anything at this point. If you find a good all-American made outboard motor, let me know. I'll buy it too.

Evinrudes are made in USA. Just the parent company is in Canada.
