Thanks! Now I'm hooked as well. I'd like to go out there again tonight. It was nice and quiet. Only a couple of ppl passing by. May even be a TFF'er.

Fished about an hour between the pipe the water flows over and the big red pipe that runs above the creek. Closer to the elevated pipe. Bike Park area, Rowlett side. Caught one 11" sand bass pretty soon after I got there. Nothing else after that. Decided it wasn't happening there, and left. Fishing seemed really slow all around for everyone there.

People catch them on all kinds of things, but I've had good luck with a jig & tiny fluke, and inline spinners. That's what I've seen a lot of people fishing with out there. Crappie jigs and Road Runners are popular too. Lots of people do well with minnows.

Does anyone have any night fishing tips? What types of lures work best in the dark?

Just back from RC, I was only able to get out for an hr but as soon as I got to my spot I caught 1 within 10 min and missed hookset and one broke off right as it was getting to the bank. The 1 sandbass I got was 14" and the 6 I caught this pass sat we're also 11-14" all males.

If it don't rain sat I'm going again in the morning. I need to get some fish for a fish fry for a birthday party.

I went to the bike park, and got nine with the wife on minnows. I'm still a newb, so minnows are the only thing I know. Maybe I'll meet some tff'ers out there one day, and learn the ropes. Came back tonight, and caught 6 more along with a yellow.
