thought you guys might want to see this purty pregnant pond fish I picked up about 2 weeks ago on a bomber crankbait. She was about 23-24 inches long and around 18-19 inches in girth. Weighed about 9 lbs on my $5 analog scale that I bring to the pond. I want one over 10 lbs now!

nah, definitely not lunch. Had to put her on a stringer long enough to get someone down there for a picture. No one believes me that I catch fish out of that pond, so I thought this would be the opportunity to prove it. She was released right after pictures to go spawn and hopefully have more fish in there of her size. I'm not telling where it is because I enjoy the fact that I can go there for a couple hours after work for some peaceful fishing. May not always catch something, but I don't have to fight with people while I am there, just the occasional snake

I think there are enough people here that know about that pond already so the location will be kept between those of us that know. As for her only being 6 lbs, I doubt she is any smaller than 8 1/2. I could see the scale being off a bit, but I wouldn't put it off by 3 pounds. It was only about the 4th fish weighed on that scale. I will have to get a 10 lb weight and hang it from the scale to see what it says. Thanks for the compliments guys!
