Well it happened and the creek is on the down fall. Just got these pics from the person that most on the fly fishing forum hate and he found these this morning. Really sad. The preserve is the the thing taking the beating here NOT the individual . frown

There will always be a few who leave their trash, wads of line and bycatch behind. All we can do is pick up after them and be happy we learned to take care of the places we enjoy. Sorry you've discovered this on your creek.

Is that from new poachers, or left behind from the ones who were caught?

I hate to see that. It is amazing what one group of "thieves" can do to an area. I for one had no idea; and when the person posts was made last week, i was annoyed but just figured it would get a little more crowded. Little did I know the element it would bring to the creek.

On a brighter note I did notice an increased presence in the Game Warden. I have seen both Cody and Daron stepping up patrols. When you see them make sure to thank them for what they do and don't hesitate to call them.

I'm headed out there tomorrow morning with my five year old daughter. It reminds you that not only are we enjoying the fishing but preserving the creeks for our children.

I not afraid to call on the poachers and be a "Creek Snitch".

I too was of the ignorance of the effect of the public naming of creek x. I only thought it was a secret to keep it from getting over crowded. Until I heard about the poaching that happened. I don't really fish the creeks I have tried fishing at Rowlett creek and at White rock creek before but I don't really know what I'm doing. Its out of my element I'm usually at the ponds in town but I was sickened by the news of what happened there. I'm really sorry to hear that a place that made for some good fishing and good times was ruined by being named by jealous and resentful fellow TFFr's by naming it and mapping it out for the poachers.

I think it is time to move on and stop placing the blame of many on one or two people. There is NO ONE on the TFF or the internet for that matter that can say it is all because of a single person posting on a forum. What ever the personal issues are among this or other sections needs to be taken care of off the open forum. Either PM's or emails. If this continues to be an issue more vacations will be given as this is being taken to personal attack levels. Thank you everyone for your understanding and maturity of moving on. If there are any questions, issues or concerns please feel free to PM me or any of the mod staff.
