went out late ....bout 9 pm ...the MOON made me do it ! the ketchn was just stupendous once again !!! the fish didn't care about the north wind at spot 2 3 4 and of course 5 spot 1 was way to much wind and way to ccccold and NO bites at all ....it sure wasn't a very good start ! the second stop produced a few though ... kept up my spirits ...then a few more and then ..whale time !!! KABOOM

I simply cant imagine going to a public fishin spot during the spawn on a MOON like this and not a single soul ? the place is always packed this time a year .... I was gunna avoid it due to the pressure it receives .... sure am glad I took a peek .... not a vehicle one ! are you kiddin me ? my thought was .....um .....um..... you gest it ... KABOOM time .....

so yawl know what happenzzz on the BLOOD MOON right ? them there VAMPIRE crappie fish get frisky ! they break out the fangs .... they sneak up on ya and sink em in ya ........ and get em sum a that there ketchn BLOOD .... KABOOM

Nice as always ketchn! I was thinking about heading out last night but didn't want to bare the wind and cold here. Good fishing! the bite was rather good from about 10 till midnite ... they shut down completely when the wind layed down after one WHALE drew blood ...I made em all pay with them there crappie lips  big er small ketch em all .... KABOOM

fish size was at best average on the average ... lots of barelys and unders ... a few nicer fish in the mix though ...most were tight to the bank ... within about 24 inches of the shore ... broke my braid one time on a hook set  forgot about how hard braid is on the fish ... no stretch in that stuff for sure and I been mono for a while only long casts and takin out the stretch makes for a hook settin adventure .... I love to really LEAN into a fish as some of yawl know ... and with braid ....my my my ....does it put a hurt on them lil fisheeez

Why am I only able to find unders? I find plenty of them at times and it's fun to catch them but would like a meal or two. I need a tracking device on some of you guys. It has been an unusually tough spring for me since Tawakoni is so low, honey hole is dry, and the wind has been so strong on weekends. During the week I am stuck looking around Tarrant, Ellis, Johnson counties and south. Very nice Ketchn sir!

Very nice Ketchn sir! thanks sir ...it seems a lot of the fish sizes are getting smaller on average right now in the Tarrant county lakes I been visitng ....numbers are up though ... I hear a few reports of larger fish here and there ...haven't tried those spots .. last night I managed probably a limit of keep fish with a few nice ones in the mix but it was a lower percentage of keepers it seemed to me ... I probably ketched about 60 fish total ...all crappie last night all the fish were released for other anglers to enjoy as well ... KABOOM

Way to brave it out there! brother I kept lookin at THAT MOON ....couldn't stop myself it sure was chilly and windy during the bite time .... but I cant ketch em sittin on the couch so off I went
