No one knows is correct, but the guy is looking for some help for a day fishing and not really a answer like this. Would have thought one of those guides showing all those nice pictures would be able to help him a little.

No one honestly knows. I am being serious...just go fishing when you can go. the fish are gonna do what they are gonna do. So far all spring they have made us all look foolish. Don't worry though, some guy who does not fish will chime in with some textbook answer like fish the secondary drops blah, blah, blah. Just go when you can go and fish hard. I really like what you said here Mark. People start telling me that the atmospheric pressure isn't right for the fish to eat and then I go catch a twenty plus pound sack that day and the complete opposite when the pressure is "right". I'm off on Wednesdays...... Cold fronts seem to love coming on Tuesdays...... If I stayed home after every cold front I'd never get to fish! Jackson P.S. No offense intended at the OP.

It is a tricky situation, no doubt. Hell, fishing on any day seems tricky to me. My two cents however, it seems like for me, the fishing is the toughest on the second day after a front. Wish I knew the key to figure the situation out. I mainly try to to fish slower than normal...... TRY! They sure bit good Saturday and Sunday though. Good luck to all!

Would have thought one of those guides showing all those nice pictures would be able to help him a little. I did help. Rather than give him some BS answer I told him to go fishing when he can, to fish hard and see what happens. I could have coated with a lot of hype and BS but why? Like I said if any of us had a answer for all these fronts there would not be as many long faces at the ramp at the end of the day. Fish when you can, fish hard and have fun is really the best advice I have cause I do the same when I go out. You walk out of the house expecting to have a bad day you probably will.

No there is something different happening this year. I fish roughly 5 days a week and I must say not only are my numbers way down, but my fish sizes are pathetic. Compared to the last 3 years this year is has been completely unpredictable. Looking at my logs I can see I kept the same pattern for a total of 6 days at the end of February. That's been the longest string yet. My fish spawned in much deeper water than I thought possible, would hit a slow moving large topwater or hollow body frog over deep grass in February. However they would not so much as look at my slow moving subsurface bait. I have learned that this particular lake is strongly affected by weather fronts...unlike any other lake Ive ever fished. So my answer to the OP would be: tomorrow and Thursday look decent on the forecast but I think its dependent on which lake you fish. I personally hate a post front clear sky. And in my humble opinion there has been a lot of post frontal clear skies this spring. Last year some of my best days ever occurred around the full moon FEB, MAR, APR. I spent most of Sunday night out on the water and caught only 2 smaller fish. Last month's full moon cycle I blanked we also had a frontal passage ...so all bets are off this year in connection to the moon cycles. This is representing my lake and my fishing style, your experience may differ.
