Many of the full time Falcon guides are taking on trips to Sugar lake in Mexico. Not to read too much into it, but is an indicator of how Falcon is fishing in what should be PRIME season.
I do not have an actual on the lake fishing report.

All the guides are saying that Falcon is "tough" right now. They are advising trips into Mexico vs fishing Falcon, but there are also some nice fish coming out of Falcon. Guides need to put their clients on "bunches of fish" so therefore they are suggesting Mexico. I just want to hear from Falcon locals or inland fishermen that are fishing Falcon without going into Mexico. The guides are not traveling in Mexico during non-daylight hours, so it has to be overnight trips to Sugar or day trips to Blanco. I have lots of "reports", but I would like to hear from someone that has fished there recently, like in the FLT tournament this past weekend. We'll be there for 10 days starting April 25, we'll certainly provide some good intel when we get back on May 5th.

To be honest, the reports you are seeing on websites like James' report on FLT is not bad. I fished the FLT tournament this weekend with my 12 year old son. We prefished up near the county ramp Saturday and flipped a lot of timber with nothing. But there were no rocks where we were scouting. We launched at the state ramp on Sunday and went to some points that had rocks and some timber. Our best three was a little over 10 pounds, which is actually a lot better than what I've been doing the last few months. My son caught a 7.04 on a deep crank bait and I caught a lot of 14-15 inch fish on a light Texas rigged stick bait, but most of my fish were on a Carolina rigged finesse worm. Most of our fish came in about 12 feet. But if I wasn't dragging across rocks, I did not get bit. Some of the bigger weights came deeper, but they were still fishing on rocks. However, there were some of the teams that talked about a shallow spinner bait bite, as well. I didn't go much deeper than an occasional cast into 25 feet simply because it would have been too hard for him to fish like that. But I do believe I could have culled the two small ones by going deeper...just wanted to have fun and keep him engaged in his first tournament. Hope this helps...keep watching James' report. I've never experienced it being too far off when I fished Falcon.

You have two major factors working against you in regards to Falcon "info" Nutman. #1 Basschamps is on the not so distant horizon. #2 Best of luck when ya come down. Jay

Jay; Looking forward to meeting you. The group I am with has you booked that week for fishing. Tom/Pat. we are staying at Billy's place. My son & I will be fishing with Billy that Saturday of the Bass Champs. Glad we will be there for 6ndays after they have hit the lake. I guess #2 is that there are very few fishing Lake Falcon right now ????
Fishing Yankee; thanks for the info. That's what I was looking for.

That just means more lake for us,,,,,,maybe we won't have to go to Mexico. That week is supposed to be mid 80s and stormy,,,,,,different than NORMAL,,,,,maybe the bass will turn on for us. if not,,,,there will be plenty to drink.

It says----------- DRINKING WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE FISHING GETS BETTER
