About what time are the shad running there? Sure would like to get some

We started at 7 and could see them until 930 or 10:00. It is unbelievable how many there are. We were fishin the bent water area but the shad will be running pretty much everywhere right now. We could see them at my neighborhood boat ramp at Lch, and the old anchorage marina area and pt Aquarius also.

I know how that is I got into them last year at Lake Livingston---sure was fun
Were you using shad? I went out Friday morning with someone else and we could not buy a bite on a shad. The first spot we fished, we caught 4 hybrids and had several got off. Went to another spot which I was sure had catfish in it but we were not getting bit. I finally put on a shrimp and the other guy put on a chicken liver and we started catchin them. So, this trip I knew not to bother with shad. We caught them on shrimp. For some reason these dang fish at Conroe are weird including the catfish. you would think they would eat a shad.
