Lake Lewisville -looking for shad

Wanted to try fishing with fresh bait. Bought a net, figured out how to throw it (sort of) and can't seem to locate the shad. If you have any pointers, i sure could use them. I am around the eagle point marina. Thanks for any advice!

This is interesting....I've only caught one threadfin in the last month or so on Lewisville. Anybody catching quantity of threadfins on any north texas lake right now?

We had a pretty big die off here due to the cold. Threw a little Friday am, found a few small threads, but plenty of 3-5 inch Gizzards. Really prefer the big Threads this time of year.......

We had a huge kill on Eagle Mountain . We needed one way too many in lake was loaded with threadfin. Johnny

The past two weekends I've been able to find enough shad at EM to have sufficient bait. Not finding any big schools, but I will find a few here and a few there. Have had the most luck around the marinas in 4 to 6 fow.
