You just follow your dream and listen. Your Dad will talk to you in more ways than you can imagine. We all have friends and family that have passed and believe me they are watching and helping more than we realize.

When my life long fishing partner passed away; there was not a tournament fished that I ask him in my prayers to guide me in the write direction and keep me safe in that tournament. He gets the credit for a ton of wins.

Sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing. I'm sure that most of us here got the fishing bug by following in our father's footsteps. I can remember as a kid mimicking my father with my Zebco 202,casting then pulling out line before reeling. Little did I know then he was just cleaning a small backlash from his reel . I still have my dad even though he isn't in top form but I thank God he instilled in me the love of fishing and hunting.

Sorry for your loss. We are so glad you found us. This site will not only entertain you but will provide you with many different fishing techniques to catch that "Big" one.

I told him him in a pm that his offer reminds me if something my dad would of done for someone.
God bless skeeter for the offer. My dad lived lake fork. That is my dad's story of the big one that got away. He was there and just change to a meps #1 white spinner.
He said he didn't tie the knot well because it was his last cast if the night before heading back to the dock since was getting dark. And of all times to tie a poor knot he had the biggest bass he ever saw hit it and pop up out the water and lose him and the spinner.
I remember he had some good times fishing there. He took me once but I was so young then I don't remember the trip at all.
