My dad passed away 1 week ago today. He loved to fish and would alway take me out when I was younger. I haven't gone as much as I'd like in the last few years. But I've re devoted myself after being out with family celebrating the life of my father. I caught my first bass of the year Saturday. It was the only fish anyone caught just before leaving to go back home. We were at south lake in farmersville. It was my dad's favorite lake. I just want to introduce myself. My name is Tom and I look forward to posting more on this forum.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome.
I plan on doing more fishing than I already do and hope to share with the TFF family all the wonderful fish I catch. lol
I hope to learn but also teach where I can.

Welcome to the forum! I too lost my dad in recent years and way too young he was. We spread his ashes in the gulf of Mexico. Time heals all wounds my friend. Sorry for your loss.

The funny thing is that my family.. My brother, sister even my girlfriend had dreams of fishing with my dad the day before he passed.
I was the closest to him and I had the dream the day after he passed.
Do you think its coincidence or maybe he was telling all of us he is in a better place and everything is going to be ok ?
