Theyll do the $ replacement. Just depends on what year and model it is, to figure out how much $ I believe. Call the number on the Dobyns site. Both of those guys are super nice and really happy to help.

I had 2 gen 1 Champions and they swapped them for new ones a couples years back at no cost to me.

Yes I tried right before I wrote the post and no one answered will try again though. They have always done me good on what few issues I have had really only one just didn't know with this being a older rod. I guess its a Gen 1 it looks different than my other champions especially the Dobyns butt cap.

Just talked to them told me to cut off the Dobyns logo section and just mail that instead of the whole rod with all my info and when they get it they will send me a brand new rod of course the 60 bucks to but hey cant beat that cause lord knows how old that rod was.

Yes they are very easy and really nice people Dobyn's has always gone above and beyond what I expected in customer service. I don't want to get this moved to the plugs section but they have been a pleasure to deal with.
