I got a new B'n'M 10' crappie pole and wanted to get it wet. I went to a spot that's been producing some slabs. Got to the steep rocky bank about 7:30am and made my way down to the waters edge and started working a 1/16oz red head/white body Fle-Fly about 30" under a float. That new pole works well in making swing casts 20' in both directions along the bank. I made my way up and down the shoreline for about 90 minutes before I found any crappie fish, though I did catch several yellow bass and a couple of bigmouths. I changed to a 1/16oz black head/chartreuse body plastic and moved down the bank near a high ramp leading to a boat slip/dock. I flipped the jig/float up next to the supports and the float went outta sight. Set the hook and got the first slab. I got 5 more out of that same spot before it went dry. I moved along the shore and picked a few more. I ended up next to a concrete boat ramp and found a pocket of fish in about 3 fow. I got another 6 slabs there and I was out of time. My clock said it was time to go and the slabs were still eating my jigs. It was a good outing, 15 slabs catch and release. For the shallow water bite that new pole works very well. I'm ready to go again!!! "thump"

Love a long pole. Been using a telescoping job this year. Doesn't take long to get used to. Then grab a 6 1/2' to cast with and it feels like a kid pole. Congrats on the B&M, I'm sure it's a fine pole.

Congrats on the B&M, I'm sure it's a fine pole. I've had several fly rods and telescoping poles over the years but none by B'n'M. This one looks like a fly rod but not with a traditional fly reel on it. At 10' in length you can cover a lot of water without casting and reeling. It has a simple reel with a quick change spool system, makes it easier to change spools of line. It's a fun pole to fish with!!! "thump"
