 Swamped boat on the LEW today.......

Buddy just now sent me this pic on Lewisville. He said there are three guys and they all made it to the bank safely.....don't know any details. Watch out for these winds, it's brutal today.

Wade fishing  Looks like a full size rig - although I guess they sink too in the right conditions. Either he's Jesus or it is pretty shallow there - wonder if they ran aground first.

No pumps? Mine was full, but 2 pumps and 3 minutes it was empty.

No pumps? Mine was full, but 2 pumps and 3 minutes it was empty. You can't sink a Ranger if you try, not all boats are built with that much foam.

No pumps? Mine was full, but 2 pumps and 3 minutes it was empty. You can't sink a Ranger if you try, not all boats are built with that much foam. That boat isn't sunk. It looks like it may be aground but that could come from drifting to shallow water. Ranger or whatever, when they say they won't sink that's what they look like. It's swamped but the definition of "upright level floatation" (coast guard term) is obvious in that picture. If it's mid lake in 50 ft of water, stay with the boat and you will be fine. That boat could as easily be a Ranger as any other brand. Pumps failed. The boat didn't. A sunk boat would be on the bottom.

Lewisville is scary right now. Trees out in the middle of the lake barely out of the water. Went into cottonwood the other day and trees everywhere where I normally run.

Seems like they ran aground and then took on water. Pumps obviously didn't work good enough. I have had water up to my seats in my zx225 and have had no issues pumping it out fast

Looks like that is just out of sneaky petes. It is 20 plus foot deep there. How is that guy standing?
See the pic was taken from the bank, not the same place I thought.
I was out on the bank around 11, and the winds were on and off. The water looked manageable, I have been out in much worse.

Metroplex Bass Club was having a tourney there today, hopefully this is not one of my buds. I have only been in a swamped boat once, it sucks.
