On a happier note, I saw three high school kids walking up the trail with skunk all over their faces. So I stopped to talk to them. They had no idea where to go or what they were even trying to catch. One of them had a package of hot dogs for bait. I said, "come on guys, let's go catch some fish". So I led them to where the fishing is good, told them what kind of fish there were, and what lures I was going to use. Lost track of them after that, but I hope they at least caught something.

It sounds like they do it for profit, so as long as there's a market for illegal fish, there will be others to take their place.

You would think the law would be able to figure out who they're selling them to. Makes me want to buy the food with the "ethically grown" labels even more than I already do. Good ol Chipotle.

I think I saw those kids when I was leaving. I was all motivated to walk down into the jungle today but on the way out from Carrollton my truck died so after I got a jump and made it out to the playground I decided to just walk to the pipe in case I would have to be walking to Autozone. Fortunately my truck started. Unfortunately alls I caught was 1 sandy and a river cooter.

Look up " Aquaponics! The self sustained revolution." on Face Book and like the page to learn how to use fish to grow anything at 4 times the rate with 90% less water than normal agriculture while eliminating all chemicals and producing fertilizer for in ground plants.

A river cooter is a turtle.

There is a convenience store at the corner of Miller and Centerville. Good luck!

How has it been? Is the miller area even worth fishing?

Saw better fish being caught at Miller Rd bridge over the lake side. Not hybrids, but all nice size female sandies. Good parking. Save yourself a long walk.
