Anyone have a recipe for a homemade fishing attractant? I have heard of some crazy ones.

meat grinder and mullet..

I made some out of cellulose sponge cut into usable pieces smothered in CHEAP dollar store fish oil tabs.

Menhaden oil....

I used make a bait chum of a couple cans of jack mackerel, some crackers or stale bread, a little salt water and menhaden oil mixed up to a consistency to make balls out of it. Toss it out and it draws bait like crazy. Best to wear some kind of rubber gloves or else your hands smell like fish for weeks.

We used to use Menhaden oil and dry cornbread mix. It worked really well in Florida.

A couple of cans of jack mackerel, some menhaden oil, and some oat meal (looks like fish scales) and throw it in the water. That's for chumming of course, if you want to make a fish attractant type spray use some mineral oil and watermelon flavoring and put it in a spray bottle if you like to squirt your lures like the bass guys.
