Well I only make it to Bridgeport once or twice a year. Between my daughters softball games and work, I have yet to make it out in 2014.

There have men multiple people providing information that the 380 ramp is the only usable public access on the lake. My question: is there either a floating dock near the ramp or a soft bottom area close by to beach the boat?

If I make it to the lake Saturday I'd be alone, and with Bridgeport's mostly rocky shoreline with 20mph winds wouldn't do well on a fiberglass boat.

Thank you in advance for any information.

No dock, lots of rocks and the southern wind makes launching solo a real challenge. There may be someone at the launch that can lend assistance ? The fishing should be warming up. I personally have not fished her in over a week. Good luck.

we put in at the 380 ramp 3-4 times a week , its not as bad as you might think

there are spots you can beach the boat and be safe

i have a fiberglass hull also, no damage

if you just take it easy and use good sense you will be ok

the water temps are coming up

the fishing is turning on

Do y'all know what they're hitting on? I usually could get a few shad, but that's before the plug got pulled and the water level dropped.

BTW Are you talking about the actual ramp at 380, or the dirt one on the South side

The south side is only launchable place on the lake. The bubbles were on last week by the dam, You may find bait there, not sure tho. I would use paddle tails, tail hummers and slabs w/ fies. I havnt been there in almost 2 weeks not sure what the patten is, I'd bring everything lol, good luck post your result plz.

Thanks, last I heard that was the only good spot, not the actual ramp.

Its a decent ramp...good point about the wind, that can be difficult. I have it on good authority that the ramp will be usable even if we lose another ten feet of water. Dennis, Shad will be interesting this year, I am pretty sure that we had a MASSIVE cold water kill of Threadfins.

Keith, dock lights sure wont be much of a bonus! Usually using a few shad around a few weeks from now right? May have to go in with someone and book you so I can "re-learn" the lake !!

Maybe we can get some significant rain tomorrow, but it will take some time to get that lake to reasonable levels. Being so low is my biggest concern, I was just learning some of the points, now it would be like starting over without getting stuck!
