It is just absolutely silly at the creeks now. Today I had a rookie flyfisherman. He is never touched the flyrod before pretty much. On his second Casti landed a fish. Then his third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh,........ He sat in one spot for about 20 to 30 minutes and pulled out a fish every minute. The fish are all up and down the creek systems now. You can fish places were you won't even see another person and still catch fish. They have moved up 3-4 miles up the Creek. One of my creeks I walked 2 miles up and still proceeded to catch fish every cast. There are thousands and thousands of white bass swimming around your feet and in every single pocket. After 9 o'clock the fish slow down. That is because the fish of come from 40 to 50 foot of water where there is no light. When the sun hits the water they moved to shady pockets and try to keep their eyes out of the sun. There will still be Fish in the rapids in broad sunlight, yes. But, the ones that are in the shady pockets are the ones that will eat faster than the ones in the sun. I tied up some chartreuse with a white body chenille and a white head in a 1/80 ounce jig. Absolutely tore them out. When even have to move your Jig as soon as it hits the water and drifts for a split second he pretty much be hooked up automatically. Insane action.
I have a few slots open next week and the following week text me or call me to see what slots are open. $75/ per person

If you need a white bass fix, or want to learn to fly fish...tarponfly is your guy
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Keith, lol, if u saw today, u would be screaming like a 3 year old. Imagine 10 times the amount of fish! And yes, lol, millions of shad everywhere. U can see Sandies without you polarized glasses, in every riffle pocket and run. Forgot my go pro today. You didn't even have to twitch the lure or fly, you cast out and just start reeling in -cause you already have one.

Most people didn't catch many today, except the few standing around Tarponfly caught fish every cast. Tarponfly showed us how to fly fishing, between legs. Laughed my butt off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9sGpZjpYzw

Had a good time today. Carey was right... Closest person I saw around me today was down at the other bend. Minnows and Bobby Garland Blue Thunders did the trick. Only had a couple of hours but was still long enough to pull 15 out of one hole.

Hit Rowlett Creek today. Hybrids were thick. Sandies thick. 15-16 inch Gizzards. Not much smaller bait.

Well I went today and the crooks have depleted the creek for sure. I only got seven and missed six. Ran into Carey ,Mike, Lorin and Chuck and his buddy Justin. Carey's client limited out on minnows ( see pic below) Chuck and justin caught a few but Chuck said it was nothing like before the the big gill net sting. It is really disappointing for weekend anglers like myself who wait all week and the bad guys ruin it for us. Thanks for nothing Any way good to see everyone hopefully the next rain will push a few more in and if not Come on topwater Carey's client today at X

At this time of the year with these weather conditions what are some good creeks to visit, especially if I want to target hybrids? I'm not looking for anyone's secret spot just a general idea like Such and such creek south of this or that bridge. I'm looking to go Friday.
Thanks!

Just back from RC, I was only able to get out for an hr but as soon as I got to my spot I caught 1 within 10 min and missed hookset and one broke off right as it was getting to the bank. The 1 sandbass I got was 14" and the 6 I caught this pass sat we're also 11-14" all males.
If it don't rain sat I'm going again in the morning. I need to get some fish for a fish fry for a birthday party. L
