Myself and Mike "USMC_GY" fished a couple of places on the far eastern end of the Guadalupe River. We were fishing for Crappie and Gills but ended up getting a pending record Large Mouth Bass for the Guadalupe River. The fish was 26" long with a 19" Girth. The fish was healthy and full of eggs. The drag piling fight lasted for about 8 minutes before she was landed. The Official Weight of the Fish was 12.11 Lbs. The fish was released to fight again.The Bass and Crappie were caught on minnows under a float. The Gills were caught on worms using a bottom technique. Paper work for both the weight and catch&release records will be sent to Parks and Wildlife. We did manage a few Crappie and a few nice Bluegill and Redbreast. The Gills,Crappie,and Redbreast were kept for Mike's dinner table. A super day of fishing on a super river. It don't get any better.

Thanks Guys for the replies. Mike: It has been a true blessing fishing with you over the past few years. We have had some adventurers and caught some "HUGE FISH". Like we have always said. "It's just being at the right place at the right time" and "Keep fishing and good things will happen". You can also throw in a lot of luck. Looking forward to more trips in the future. Mark: Thanks buddy. I still have a very long way to go too catch up with the REAL KING who is called "Jugmaster". I have seen numerous double didget fish that you have caught over the years off of both the river and Dunlap. We did pick up on a certain style of yours and we will keep that a secret! It PAYS OFF! Wish we had started it a lot sooner.
