I was thinking about trying my luck north of 66 near the bike park today. I'd really like to know where that hybrid showed up though!

Hey, look at that. I've got the only Rowlett Creek related thread going right now. laugh Too bad it's not as informative as the other one was!

I'm going out there now. I'm hunting Hybrids!...but I'll take some sand bass if they bite too.

I fished a while on the Rowlett side of the creek across from the bike park. Some good holes there that ought to hold fish, but I don't think there was a single sand bass in them. I really thought they'd come up after all that rain, but I just don't think they are there.

I caught a black crappie, who is now in my belly. Pan seared in olive oil with salt and lemon pepper. Doesn't get much better than that.

Creek rumors! I talk to people at the creek. smile

1.) I've heard that the cops are out giving tickets to people parking in the Rowlett neighborhood near the southern end of the creek south of miller towards the lake. I'm not sure what the justification is, public streets and all, but that's what I heard.

2.) I haven't checked myself, but I was told that the parking on Miller is now all closed, and the police are handing out tickets.

3.) People are catching hybrids, but you gotta do the walk. If rumor number 2 is true, I don't know where you can park to even start.

None by me today. I wasn't out there too long, but I don't think many are there.
