Yeah no problem. ... im sure some other Real CRAPPIE fishermen have the same OPINION. .. and CAN ANYONE SAY TATTLE TAIL ... LMFAO . U THINK U R FUNNY DONT YOU ... I personally don't care . I served for this country for 8 years in the Army I think I can voice my opinions I earned that ...and for what people think about me I don't care either because I will voice my opinions if they get deleted or not.... If you served in the Army for 8 years, Thanks for your service,But.You are not representing them very well on here..... And my opinion is 25 fish is exactly that. 8-10 poles is overboard i agree. But they still have to stop at 25. I personally only use 1 rod at a time. That is all.

Who uses 8 to 10 poles???
My bud and I spider rig mainly in the winter on Fork and do quite well. Allows us to cover a lot of water constantly moving to locate the fish.
We fish 4 poles each.... that's all we can keep up with. And once we locate the fish it's down to 1 or 2 poles max or we start missing bites.
So grouping ALL spider riggers into a bunch of folks destroying the fish population is kinda silly.
We only spider rig 2 to 3 times a year- so we hardly make a dent in the fish total.
To me it's more the guides that will take 2-4 people per trip, and perhaps 2 trips a day, several times a week that put the bigger dent in the population. The guides have the pattern figured out, and don't have to search for the productive areas like I do. But you know what... It's legal and I support them fully in making a living and supporting their families.

Im a one pole only man and have never spider rigged in my life. To say spider rigging should be outlawed is a little much for me. Might as well ban side imaging too. IMO side imaging is responsible to far more crappie being harvested than any number of poles you could ever fit on a boat.

Crappie multiply like rabbits, it'll be hard for the common fisherman to remove enough to hurt the population.

There are other factors on some of our local lakes, like several years of drought and low water levels that hurt the spawn. I belive several conscutive years of this will effect the population much more than any legal fisherman will ever do.

I Spider rig in the winter, sometimes 7 days a week for weeks if the weather holds Great way to freeze the feet and boat a mess of fish. Some days a limit and some days not. I run six tandem rigged poles with two people in the boat I pay my boat fee's,my license and park square at the ramps. No beer on the boat and I eat "caught fish" no less then 3 times a week year round. I fish no less then 10 lakes in the State and have for near 30 yrs as an adult I have no issues with lakes "having enough" fish to catch If " I " dont catch,I DONT BLAME " A N Y T H I N G " for not catching fish.
Serving ? LMAO!! if you didnt do 20 you simply had a job and damn lucky someone didnt frag your whining ashtray

Proof is there, water levels do not hold up reproduction Try another assumption please Crappie multiply like rabbits, it'll be hard for the common fisherman to remove enough to hurt the population. Unless I missed something, the original post and the few that followed are as bona fide and classic case of trolling if I ever read one. Hey T-Dub, when I rig a spider, I like to hook 'em right by one of those hind legs. That way, all those eight legs are dangling out there to entice that crappie. Problem is, they never seem to live very long under the water. Bout 10 minutes max, then it's change baits again. Hard to catch enough spiders to last more than an hour on eight poles. And that moniker reminds me of ole Lester "Roadhog" Moran and the Cadillac Cowboys. For your viewing pleasure: Kick her off there Whitcha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ7stdWXnBk

Guess we need to add Spider Rigging to High Fence Hunting and Hunting Under a Feeder as a subject not to be discussed unless you are wanting to meet at the ramp (on Lake-X) at high noon to settle it "once and for all!!!" BTW, you can LMAO and get your point across without the -F- part. If you can only communicate this way perhaps this forum is not for you. We do have children and wimmen posters on here too. Show some respect please if not for yourself, for the others that post and read here. Carry On...

So I'm just gonna go ahead and say, I didn't read all four pages of this. I will, but not tonight. Here's how I see it. I can catch a limit of slabs with one pole almost as well as I can with the 4 I use to spider rig. I like to spider rig. It's fun, it's different. I did it a lot this winter. It's more of a hassle, but it's fun catching two or three at a time by your self. It's also nice for people that aren't really good at catching crappie. And don't take that the wrong way when I say "good", but it is a lot easier to catch crappie on a spider rig if you have someone in the boat that somewhat knows what they're doing and a couple people that dont. I'm not sure if you're just mad because you don't get a limit of slabs every time you go out or what, because I certainly don't. But on the days I do get limits I feel like I could do it either way, with four poles or one. And chances are someone that's spider rigging, and doing it well enough to catch enough fish to make you mad, can catch a limit either way too. Go try it sometime, there's a lot more to it than just buying some long poles and a fancy rod holder.

this thread is for posting your thoughts about my thread not to argue w MY Opinions.. yes I know what the limit is 25 crappie per day. so if you have ten poles in the water that means you can catch two to three fish per pole.
WHY DO YOU NEED EIGHT TO TEN POLES TO CATCH 25 FISH??..
Answer that... plz Because the law says I can keep 25 fish 10" or better by legal means. You need to get over your arrogance that the world owes you something for your 8 years of military service. Try doing 34 years in the Army buddy. I retire in September with 34.5 years of service to this great nation and don't think the world revolves around me nor do I ask for anyone to give me special privileges because of my service.
