Bassnroun, do you purposely run around on here and try to find ways to contradict everyone? The man said he got it for $265 if you know where someone can get it for $185 how about telling them where! I'm sure some would like to know.

TeamDiawa, How would you compare the Diawa reels to the Shimanos? I really like the new Curados, but have recently had some interest in looking into the Diawas. I do quite a bit of Bass fishing, and alot more fishing down on the coast. I fish from a kayak, so my reels really feel the abuse the salt puts them through. I am sure they are equipted with anti rust bearings, but I was wondering how the reels hold up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks bro..

Justin, it depends on the Daiwa you are looking at. The Z series as well as the Steez are made out of Magnesium, not good for saltwater. I think the Zillion is alluminum though, so that would be fine.

I was actually looking at the Sol. I have heard good things about the Diawas, but its hard to fix a problem thats not broken. I have always liked Shimanos, but a few friends love the Diawas.
