Me and Tex went on a scouting trip for upcoming guide trips. Wanted to see what the rain and cold weather had done to them. Seemed like it turned them on more. caught fish at several humps 19 to 23 ft of water water did not cool off any was 61 when we put and 64 when we took out at6 oclock. All fish caught on ole ugly slabs and flies Chartuese and white. Good to meet cody and crazy Chris give them a little help and they seemed to have a good time. Terry and tim come by and tied up to us and got in on the fun. All fish released to make babies. If anybody is planning on a guide trip this spring get it booked it is on big time right now. Tex is upset we were racking and stacking them and I left to scout some more areas. But he will get over it LOL. Ended up with 121 on the clicker. Johnny

Had a couple of people call and ask if I am fishing in creeks. I am not a big creek fan on EM. Just not much if any water in them. I have always believed that most of the sandbass spawn in the lake because most years there is not enough water for them to get up the creeks or the river. It has been that way all my life. I always felt I can catch more fish in the lake if you know how to find them. Just my opinion. Johnny

Lol, we gave Eagle Moutain a big look over and caught a few fish. I didn't pout very much, a wise man told me a few times that once you find the fish you should stay on them not to leave fish to find fish. Lol, Joking!

Good job Johnny! Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on the action. See you on the lake soon. I went out with Johnny last spring and he taught me a lot on catching sandbass on the lake humps.

The ramp is better but still very shallow. I launch my boat (186 charger with a 175) there with no problem

I am going to launch my 22 ft CC there this weekend. I hope it's good.
