I know the water's going to be muddy and the sky going to be blue but I'm going crappie fishing anyway and if I don't catch any then that's ok too.

Have'nt been on Naconiche in a while so I decided to give it a try. Caught 2 big bass, 2 perch and 2 little crappie. Could not find the shallow bite anywhere. Found a huge school on brush in 20ft water but could not get them to bite anything I had. I'm not postive they were crappie. Maybe next time.

I bet they were crappie. Me and another TFFer went yesterday in the rain. We got us a 2 man limit, water temp was 61 degrees. I believe a lot of fish are out deeper. So many people fish up shallow during the spawn, but i believe there are still good fish to catch out a little deeper. I would rather fish >10fow, and once you find some structure in a good location, you will find fish. I have limited out the last 3 trips in water >15' with water temps 61-65 degrees. Sorry, didn't take any pictures of yesterdays trip, got home today and tried to get them cleaned before the rain hit (had to finish in the garage). Caught most on blk/chart and pink/chart, with a few coming on white/chart, plastics and hand ties (one of each on two rods at a time). Been a good week! 3 limits in 3 trips.

I'm trying to convince myself that they were'nt crappie since I could'nt get a bite on anything. lol Actually I've caught lots of crappie off that same brush pile in the past. I think I like the summer pattern better. Trying to figure out this spawn pattern is driving me nuts. Shallow one day and gone the next. But, ain't it fun!
