So you don't think it has anything to do with the abuse they take in the rod boxes?
a lot less abuse in a carpeted rod box than rolling around in the back of the truck.

So do you fly them standing up in the yak down the road or shove them In the cab? They gotta get to the lake somehow. Rod box seems most secure to me out of the three .its not transportation it's fast made rods that arn't built on the blanks correctly and the fact that a ton of people are handling them on the shelf before one person actully gets to purchase it.

Personally I made a carrier that holds them off the bed of my truck that protects them. I was more so talking about the abuse they take over time while on the water more than driving on a surfaced road.

I can agree with the people handling them part. That makes sense.

I've only broke one rod that wasn't my fault and it's because they are cheap junk and it took me nearly two years to get the company to replace it. Rods in a rod box or the deck seem secure to me. They're laying not getting bent or put in a bind. Now slam the lid on one or step on it then you might as well expect it to break eventually.

I work at academy in Burleson. We take back literally anything you bring us as long as it's in our system. If you don't have a receipt they will just give you a full refund on an academy gift card.

Just trying to find the fish and get them in the boat!!!

For one, I don't own a bass boat. I was fishing out of my buddies boat. If they aren't in use, they are in rod socks. I take care of my stuff. They were by in no means abused. They even ride in the back seat of my truck instead of the bed.

Just take rod in do a no recite return and get store credit I have never had any hassle with them. They can't turn down a product that they stock in store or online.

Academy has the best return policy Ive ever experienced. If youve got a receipt, or if you used your own credit card, they will exchange anything and refund what they can. They give store gift cards for things they cant refund. Take your rod and your receipt to the customer service desk up front, and theyll take really good care of you. At least that has been my experience.
