Got to love that Bluegill Action. I was fishing Dunlap yesterday and did well on the Gills. Looks like some rain today and windy on Monday. Rest of the week is looking pretty good. Side Note: Jeff and I will be heading to Canyon this afternoon! Gonna doing some night fishing under the lights.

Thanks Curtis and "Dfitz" for the replies. Curtis: Good luck on Canyon. You guys should do pretty good under the lights. Let me know how you do. Also the Gills are getting pretty active. Have you fished any of the Mcqueeney docks lately? "Dfitz": So far all we got down here in San Antonio was a trace. Light rain only. We need a whole lot more.

Nice banker! Gotta love those blue gill! They are what hooked me on fishing and still always a good time. I'm a bass fisherman now but, pound for pound blue gill fight alot harder. If any of y'all ever get time go fish big cypress Bayou in between Jefferson and Caddo lake. I have had multiple hundred fish days there fishing docks and cypress trees.

Nice catch. The fish are starting to get more active with the warmer weather. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate a little better this week.

Thanks "Bass98" and "Dhogdog" for the replies. "Bass98": Catching some Gills on Ultra Light Tackle is hard to beat. Love those 100 fish days. I just may be planning me a road trip Big Cypress Bayou. Thanks for the information. "Dhogdog": Yes Sir the Sunnies are getting very active. If we start getting some decent RAIN this can be one heck of a year!

Caught several white bass, some very nice Channel Cat,a couple of nice Bass, and a bunch of Crappie. Only 12 Crappie Keepers out of 60 fish. Also got checked by Game Wardens. We also saw em at the Cranes Mill dock. Glad to see em. Side Note: Jigs and Minnows were the two best baits.

At of all the places I fish it seems that I usually see the Game Wardens on Dunlap or Mcqueeney. It's nice seeing em out there.

Thanks "Gitter" for the reply. I have not caught a Trophy Redear in awhile. Come to think of it I have not caught a decent Redear the last several times I have been out. During the late fall through all of winter we were nailing Trophy fish every trip and then some. I think they have started their spawn. Just my two cents.
