try a couple of cans of seafoam in about 3 gals of gas mix and idle it for about 10-15 mins, let sit overnight then repeat idling a couple of times before shutting down for the night.
this should clean any crud out of the carbs, if not then it is rebuild time if they are leaking.

Sounds like a bottom carbs needle and seat is leaking.

Sea Foam will not stop a leak. Take it apart. Look closely at the pulse valve hose, pull hose off and check if wet with fuel. If the hose is wet you have a diaphragm bad in the VRO pump allowing fuel to inter the crank case.

so i have not had much time to work on it i took the cover off and took the intake off of the carbs and noticed that it was shooting fuel out from one of the bottem carbs when i tried to start it so i replaced the hose going to carb looked like it may have had a pin hole in it and i put it back on i found out it is leaking from the gasket in between the bowl in the carb so i got a rebuild kit and am going to fix that today. The boat would idle fine and i could rev it and if i put it in reverse it would rev to high rpms but when i try to get on plane it cuts out at about 2000 rpms and will not let me get on plane however on the water hose it has no problem in forward could this be caused from the gasket leaking in the carb.

Thanks guys
