No kidding. He was easy to grab out of the lake while he was hooked because I could point his head away from me. Not the case once he was cut free in the boat. It was a pretty tense stand off because I had a rod go down on the other side of him and my boat isn't that big.

That thing is a monster. Never saw a turtle that big.
I noticed your rod holders. Where can I find some of those? Most of these holders at the stores won't work well on my boat, and are expensive too. I could use about 4 of those. I have an older aluminum V-hull with a rail similar to yours.

Sometimes one must remember that hook didn't cost all that much. That thing could take off a big toe in a NY second.
