April 5, 2014 Rain, Rain, stay home, don't go outside. Boy, I'm glad I don't believe everything the weatherman has to say. I do my own best guessing, but they miss it more than they get it right. Today was no exception. North Wind 15-20 mph, not a big deal anymore, if you want to fish, just deal with it. Either get out of the boat and wade, or throw 2 drift anchors and just cover more water. If the wind is howling out of the north, go to the north end of the bay. Same goes for any direction, you may be limited, but so are the fish . The fish are somewhere and they have to eat, you just have to find the hungry ones. Grand Slam and back before noon, Charles had to cut the day short, but better than not at all. All the fish were caught in less than 4' of water. It could have been because we fished close to the shoreline where the water was calm. Or, that is where the fish were feeding. We missed more than we caught. Several right at the boat, Boy I hate that. Spring brings high winds, tides, and usually the average fish are bigger. Never saw a drop of rain, I guess it is raining somewhere, but not here. Always keep an eye on the weather, anytime you are on the water. But, don't let the doomsday weather reports scare you into staying home all the time. www.luckylindycharters
