All fish caught will be cleaned for tpwd studies. Local biologists will be on site to pull earbones on all the fish caught.

In my opinion it's dead wrong even though it got pushed through legislation without TPWD approval.

Well I'm pretty wore out from debating the issue over the last 3 years Tom. We are both very good at the sports we pursue. I respect yours and I enjoy mine. And all the fish will go to help TPWD studies on Trophy catfish. So I guess we'll once again respectively agree to disagree. Hope you guys can make it to the tourny anyway.

Tom it wont be long before it is outlawed in TX again....TPWD HATES IT! They will get it banned eventually...personally, I could care less how the fish is taken, as long as people follow the rules TPWD have set (like slot limits etc....) O, and gloves too....if you think its macho to stick your hand in a hole...then they should outlaw gloves too

what are the waters (boundaries)?

I'm still kind of undecided on this sport. Typical rod and reel anglers who target flatheads with live bait will spend 12 hours on the water and be happy with 1 chance at a trophy. But I routinely read about 2-3 guys going noodling for a few hours and bringing out several trophy sized flatties.

These tournaments have no regard for the bodies for which these fish came from and no intentions of returning them. You are taking fish that should not be taken. There is a reason you can't catch them on rod and reel during that time. They have a purpose of keeping the fish population going for future generations.
