The Eagle Mountain tournament will be Saturday, April 12th. The location will be at the Valero in Azle. Joel helps sponsor this tournament and we will have $500.00 extra for payouts.
Registration/Boat Checks begin at 5:00am, fishing from 7a - 2p. Cost is $60.00/per team for members and $80.00/per team for non-members. There is an additional optional pot for $10.00/team for exact weight fish. This pot is up to over $300.00 presently. If no one wins during the season there will be a drawing at the classic. Last year no one won it during the year and the payout was over $700.00 by drawing.

Hey Ken I'm wanting to fish this tourney and my question is, are we bringing dead fish to the weigh in? The reason I ask is because I don't think we are allowed to transport water from the lake.

It says if you are moving from one place on the lake to another place on the lake it would not apply. So the way I read it as long as it is water from Eagle Mountain and them fish would be put back in Eagle Mountain should be no problem.

From TPWD- The rules were modified based on public comment to allow anglers participating in a fishing tournament confined to one water body to transport live fish in water from that single water body to an identified weigh-in location, provided all water is drained and properly disposed of before leaving that location. Anglers would be required to possess documentation provided by tournament organizers that would identify them as participants in a tournament.

Thanks for posting Mr Ward. I am calling TPWD tomorrow to confirm, but the way the law reads per the posting I will need to provide a note for all tournament anglers that we will dump/dispose of the water prior to leaving the grounds.
Points have been updated. The link was pulling old info up and working correctly again.

I spoke to TPWD and her reply to the above post was: That is correct, as long as the tournament has provided the participants documentation ahead of time.
