This is the distance from 75/380 to the Jemez Mountains. Leave Friday at noon arrive 9pm Friday night. Fish all day Saturday. Leave at 6am Sunday and back in Dallas by 4pm. It's kind of crazy, but I love that mountain range and watershed.
For one day on the water, including round trip travel in one day, I'll go as far as 200 miles one way (400 round trip)

For a one-day trip, I've got 4 lakes which are less than one hour. But, it's not really the way we like to go fishing. We prefer to stay a whole week. So, I tow the ole Ranger with the motorhome, and my wife follows in the 4x4 GMC Envoy. We set up the fishing camp at Toledo Bend, on the Lousiana side: 
Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.
