Everyone is talking about Fork & Mega Bass,,,,,,but what's going on down at Falcon ?
Has the fishing gotten any better ? Sucked when I was there in January.
Any body got any new info from down that way ? Not much on the FLT Fishing Report except the story about FRED the FROG DOG,,,,,,good story, but what about fish ?

Read his previous reports. Also Jay Greishaw's previous fishing reports. Not much to write about recently. You can also call and get honest opinions.

Just saw Dan90210's thread on their recent trip to Falcon,,,,,that sucks.
But the Sugar Lake side trip sure looks like it paid off.
Might have to mosey into Mexico when we are down there.

I was on that Falcon trip. Falcon is super slow. We boated 13 bass the first day with 4 or 5 missed bites. I should of listened to our guide and fished sugar lake both days. Dan and my buddy Alex fished sugar on day two and whacked the big fish. If I had the chance for a do over, sugar is where I would spend my time fishing.

Nutman, we caught 25 fish the other day. It was refreshing to put clients on more than a few fish, but we never connected with that Falcon Giant. I was encouraged to see numbers of the healthy fish though. I am optimistic the fishing will improve. Fish have started to move out deep too:) It won't hurt me to have to put those spinnerbaits up until next year.

I know that won't hurt you one bit.
I have my Livingston cranks ready for our day together.
Glad to see you are catching some fish.
Looking forward to staying at your place for 7 nights as well.
Cinnamon Pecans and Mixed Nuts are on the way.
Be sure to send some to your Mom.

same as all hot lakes, BASS, FLW and the internet screwed them up. when you get on fish at a lake you tell no one.

Yes that's what fishing is all about. Keep anything good a secret. Keep it all to yourself to enjoy. BASS and FLW have killed all the good lakes. Ignorant

Falcon is just fine. Those southern bass hate the cold. With front after front and low water temps, those fish are extremely lazy. Most people don't understand how much the cold affects those bass down there. It'll get warm and everyone will start catching them and them everyone will talk about how great it is. The guides know this, but the general public thinks you just catch fish down on Falcon. I had unbelievable trips in October and November. Then the fronts hit and the fish got lock jaw. Those fish love warm weather and warm water.

Sugar is approx. 60 miles in from the border. Let me know if I can answer any more of your questions. The bite is good but will be great in the next few weeks !!

Falcon will be fine come summer time, big bite always "the hotter the better".

Debra smile
