I recently went through the whole electronic testing thing myself but with a different motor. I can't remember the name of the site, there were two actually...it was something like CD electronics. Anyway, they have a complete diagnostic checklist for outboards including proper ohm and voltage specs for the stator, power packs and all that. I think I found the site by googling "stator for..." and then put my motor make and model down. Good luck, oh and if you haven't done so already, take the opportunity to check the compression on your motor. I was about to spend some big bucks on electronic parts, but decided to compression test first. We found a bad cylinder, and the motor wasn't worth spending money on.

Sometimes you can run it on the muffs and warm up the power pack with a hair dryer. Sometimes they work good till they get warm.
