Fished the one that's sort of on the golf course, next to the Bush yesterday...nothing. Well there were some curious turtles and a busy snake...but ZERO interest in what I was throwing. So I snuck over to the closest golf course pond...but only cast about 3 times...too much heat...got nervous...didn't need trouble. Oh well...I'll keep trying.

Wow. Good job on advertising your trespassing.

You want some big bass from a golf course?

Golf Club of Houston, formerly Redstone. 8th hole.

Might be a tuffie gettin' on the course right now, but there are some sure 'nuff hogs in that pond.

I know, I stocked it. I used to raise breeding stock in that pond and many others on golf courses around Houston. But when some of the courses were sold to another outfit, my "in" to use the ponds on those was lost and I was unable to recover my fish. They are no longer fed and cared for, so I guess they might bite pretty good.

But my guess, going onto a golf course under the pretense of fishing, and not having a membership or other permission, is not only trespassing, but if you take fish, it is also theft. IF it were MY golf course and I caught ANYBODY fishing there (without permission), I WOULD call the police and prosecute.

It does not hurt to ask, but in cases like this, much better to ask permission, as begging forgiveness isn't going to work.

Both would be trespassing. Entering private property without permission is trespassing.

Growing up in the woodlands, near Houston...I'm very familiar with golf course fishing. Caught one of my biggest LMB's in a golf course pond. They don't call the police...if they catch you, they just ask you to leave. I don't take any fish...so I'm not stealing either.

My question was the pond that's highlighted on the google list we use on this site isn't on the golf course...and I read a post saying as long as you don't get on the golf course you're fine. So I tried that pond out. But if you're now telling me that's private (not posted) property, then no worries, it's off my list. I'm not looking for trouble...just places to catch and release.

I think I saw that guy...he was in the water across the pond...made a b-line right for me...guess he wasn't satisfied by the one bite. Hate those things.
