What are good lures/methods to try when you think you are fishing a spawning area but due to water clarity, chop, etc., you can not see bedded fish?

Drag a senko around. Throw a chatterbait. Work a jerkbait. Throw a bream colored hollow belly swimbait. Also try finesse like a slider worm.

Agree Rudy. Also a buzzbait or topwater.

Thanks! I've been throwing a jerkbait with success on smaller fish. Heck, one bass I caught was just a little longer than the bait itself. Also, been throwing a Senko and chatterbait resulting in bigger but fewer fish. Best so far has been maybe 5 lbs. Tried throwing a frog early the other day and got one hit. Also throwing watermelon craw type baits but no takers so far. Was just wondering if there is anything else I should try but sounds like I'm doing the right things.

Fan cast a swimbait around the banks you think have beds.

My best success in these types of conditions is on a weightless swimbait like a Cane Thumper or skinny dipper. You can stay way back off the beds/cruisers and not spook fish.

Big ol craw on a jig works good sometimes. I've had some good luck with a t rigged BigBite warmouth hooked through the side too. Don't forget to cast back to the spots where you catch the smaller fish, mamma might be watching...
