Heading to BPS in the morning to get a couple of rods. Usually use Seaguar InvisiX but see that BPS has their fluorocarbon line on sale for about $13.

Is this KVD line good bad or otherwise compared to InvisiX?

It's actually not bad line. Decent stuff.

+1 And the big spools are usually a very good deal.

Yep, good stuff. It's the only flouro I use right now. Never had enough trouble with it to want to try anything else. I'd normally say to go ahead and get one of the big spools, but at the price they've got on the small spools right now, either is a great value.

I bought a bunch from their Spring sale for $9.99 and vacuum sealed it and stored it in the closet, should last me a while. I have had good success with this line.

I haven't tried the KVD XPS line. I'm curiously waiting to see how people like it. The regular XPS that's on sale is some very good line in my opinion. I use it on everything but a Jerkbait and some small crankbaits, I like Sunline FC Sniper for that.

Comparing it to Seaguar Invisx? That's what I was throwing a lot of prior to trying the XPS. In my opinion, the XPS 17 lb line fishes better than the 15 lb Invisx. It seems smoother and softer even being 2 lbs stronger. I also know that the XPS 17 lb line is plenty tough. It withstood being drug across the underside of the boat then held up having to horse a 9 lber in the boat to keep it out of timber. The #2 hooks on the crankbait opened up a little on that fish, but the line held.

I agree. their 17lb line is pretty legit IMO. 14lb line is good too. Very small diameter.

Thats my money fish

It's my favorite line for finesse fishing. The 8 lbs test is thin and strong. That's a good price too.

xps flouro is the most abrasion resistant I have ever used and I've used every major brand. Memory isn't great but way better than some stuff

I flip with it all the time

I buy it when they have a deal on it and keep it in my freezer line can be kept this way indefinitely. A guide on Santee Cooper told me about doing this long time ago.

OK Thx guys for making me spend $75 smile Just got back back from BPS Grapevine and picked up 7 spools of XPS. 3 10# 2 14# 2 17#
The rack does not reflect the sale. The rack still shows that the spools are $19.99 but when you get to the checkout counter, just tell them that you want the online price and the spools are $9.97 ea. That saved me $75 in line. Now I have to decide whether to vacumn pack em or freeze em. noidea

love when that stuff goes on sale. Every now and then it'll be marked to 9.99 and that's when I stock up!
