Sorry Lee, the fish aren't up yet there. And don't be fooled, that lake can be fickle. 18lbs won Bud Light there the following Sunday w/ much of the same field.

I have never fished it, so I was 'passing along information'. Don't be sorry, if it is a 'fickle' or 'hard to fish lake', ya'll probably know much more about it than I do. It was passed along to me and another member here from a mutual friend who is also on here from Oklahoma. There is no such thing as too much information but the last thing I want to do is pass along something that might be misleading. It was a nice stringer of fish though. thanks for the info Sorry Lee, the fish aren't up yet there. Heckuva stringer. First I've seen of it.

I think what is meant is that the Spawn process has begun and the big girls are becoming available and feeding heavy. Lot of tension on this post. I would never go up there and fillet a bunch of fish because of some ungrounded prejudices about OK anglers eating Falcon bass. Some people need to let go of their harbored anger for basically everyone else. People from Mexico, Zapata, Laredo, San Antonio, Houston, OK, MN, and all over fillet fish in Falcon. Not to mention the gars. Everyone has a right to do so. I choose not to and so do most tournament anglers who know better. All that has a minimal impact on the overall fishing compared to the drastic water level drop that killed 2/3 of the bass in our South TX Lakes. All people including myself need to get better at minding out own business. And if we feel strongly about catch and release respectfully educate people every chance you get.
Thank you for posting. These are unbelievable results for a lake I've not heard of. Those results are right up there with the best lakes in the country, ever!

This lake is 45 minutes from my house. I hate it. It can put out big bags but it can also be the most frustrating lake out there.

That lake is a lot more difficult to fish than the above picture leads you to believe. I've spent many hours on that lake and I'd like to think I know what I'm doing with not much to show for it. We are building a log home about 2 miles from the lake so I better start figuring it out I guess. lol
Thank you Lord for the gifts in my life

The spawn is not on. I know those guys are fishing about 20-30 feet of water. They catch them all the time on that lake. That trail will have a hard time drawing boats because a lot of guys that are not local don't want to fish against some of the locals on that lake due to its hard to figure out nature. That hard to figure out aspect makes it more fun for me but some people won't play if they don't think they have a chance. Me I'd rather be the worst angler and not a chance given to me then be expected to win everytime.
