Having issues with my bird 596c every 5 minutes or so it starts showing the wrong depth, the sonar and di seam to still be reading correctly. It will just go from showing the correct depth say 15ft and all of the sudden be showing 60,70,110 it will just keep bouncing around. After a few minutes it will start reading the correct depth. Any ideas?

Where is the transducer mounted and are you operting another unit at the same time?

Quick question on the Onix 10. Does it come with a cover?

Thanks!

One more question. If I want to add 360 imaging to my Onix what hardware do I need besides the 360 transducer?

There are two 360 models.
One is a transom type and looks like a Talon and mounts like a Talon.
The other clamps to the upper non-rotating shaft of a Minnkota foot contol cable steer bow mount trolling motor. There is an shaft diameter adaptor made by Tranducer Shield and Saver to attach the bow 360 to a MotorGuide cable steer foot control motor.

The 360 is an Ethernet accessory, not a direct plug-in transducer.

Just let Shut-up-and-Fish know which type you want and they can tell you what parts are needed for the install.

Thanks. Sounds like I'll need the switch too.

Only need the Switch if connecting more than 2 Units or a Unit and Accessories.

Here is video I just released on Super Tuning the "Core" Product Line-Up and how to make adjustments so you can see all the data better. Hope it helps.

Looked through the dvd manual, All Doug's videos. Have a new 998c HD SI.
How do I move the information bar (temp, speed, depth, time, etc...) from on the left side of the graph to the bottom????
Oh, Doug, your vids rock, 1st day out found schools of white bass and striper gourging on bait. But that info bar is in my way....
Thanks!!

You cannot move the data boxes anywhere.

You can turn some of them off.

In the full screen SI view ONLY, you can turn off all the left side data boxes and have temp and depth overlayed on the view like this. SI readouts in the Sonar menu.

What's the best way to hook up power to the 360 transducer?

I have the bow 360 and already had a dedicated oversize circuit to the bow for my 1198c SI.
I just added a toggle switch and fuse/holder on the power cord at the bow to turn it off.

Lovely.....
They should fix that...
Or just make it smaller and a lot more transparent.
