Maybe I was doing it wrong! Or maybe they just weren't biting in the morning. The few spin fisherman I saw weren't catching anything either. But good to hear you got into a few.

I learned from Carey, barometric pressure was out of whack every day for last two weeks. But I do notice that every day, no matter how the air pressure changes, there is always a window of opportunity: from 5am to 8am, and from 5pm to 8pm, barometric pressure is stabilized for a while. So I try to take advantage of this opportunity, by going fishing in the morning or in the evening. Evening will give me a longer time frame to fish.

I would think the drought has a slightly bigger impact than the barometer. Trinity into Ray Roberts (way up north) is a backwash from the lake, and over on the other side Buck Creek is dry.

I always thought it was about the fly. If you weren't fishing a near deer you weren't catching fish.... and all this time ive been wrong

Below is planokeith finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Funny stuff. I limited out in 27 mins. Keith had caught zero Sandies in the last couple outings. Now he will soon get bored of catching them. "There Right Thar!" Funny stuff.

It is just absolutely silly at the creeks now. Today I had a rookie flyfisherman. He is never touched the flyrod before pretty much. On his second Casti landed a fish. Then his third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh,........ He sat in one spot for about 20 to 30 minutes and pulled out a fish every minute. The fish are all up and down the creek systems now. You can fish places were you won't even see another person and still catch fish. They have moved up 3-4 miles up the Creek. One of my creeks I walked 2 miles up and still proceeded to catch fish every cast. There are thousands and thousands of white bass swimming around your feet and in every single pocket. After 9 o'clock the fish slow down. That is because the fish of come from 40 to 50 foot of water where there is no light. When the sun hits the water they moved to shady pockets and try to keep their eyes out of the sun. There will still be Fish in the rapids in broad sunlight, yes. But, the ones that are in the shady pockets are the ones that will eat faster than the ones in the sun. I tied up some chartreuse with a white body chenille and a white head in a 1/80 ounce jig. Absolutely tore them out. When even have to move your Jig as soon as it hits the water and drifts for a split second he pretty much be hooked up automatically. Insane action.
I have a few slots open next week and the following week text me or call me to see what slots are open. $75/ per person
Six people max.

Tell me about silly I broke the 200 barrier yesterday and a few minutes into the slaughter every person on the river was 5 feet for me. I hate to say but I felt like adding salt to the wound so I tied on two Clowser's and caught them two at a time lol. I finally said do you not realize these fish are Fin to fin all the way to the lake I walked down to where they had been fishing and left my stuff where I had been standing caught ten in ten cast and walk back up there were no questions lol. It's crazy right now.

Haha yea normally that really gets on my nerves when every person on the river the side that's the only place that there's fish but that they just seem so funny to me that they weren't catching anything 3 inches from me so I just let them be and let them watch. Some people actually like fishing by shooting the breeze enjoyed fishing with you a couple of times already but the ones that have absolutely no clue what they're doing can be a little interesting whirling Baits by your head lol.
