I have used nothing but Owner Straight Shank heavy duties. On almost everything. The hardest think about these is not cutting yourself when you take them out of the fishes mouth. Those barbs on the shank will getcha!

Do they have the spike to hold the baits on like Trokar?
Thanks,

Do they have the spike to hold the baits on like Trokar? Nope, they have a couple little metal shank barbs. But if you want to you can add a piece of heat shrink tubing cut at an angle. It will act as a bait keeper for you.

Straight shank is all I use anymore (with flukes being about the only exception) for the same reason...better hookups. I've not tried the Owner ones, mainly because I fell in love with the Hayabusa straight shank. They're bait keeper is simply awesome!! I snell mine, and it takes a little patience, but it's worth it in the end.

Owner IMO, is one of the best hooks for the money. Offset worm wide gap "which is regular worm hook" and wide gap plus are both a++ in my book. Have boat swung many 8-9's in on a 5/0 wide gap plus and 65lb pro.

Lost 2 more this morning including a nice female I caught out of grass. First place I went when I left the lake was Academy and bought a handful of those things. Maybe it'll help.
I think not doing a superman hookset is what's been killing me lately. I started fishing much lighter line than I used to which get's me more bites but I don't try to cross their eyes when I set the hook anymore either.

The twist locks are by far my favorite. They're on sale at tackle warehouse right now.
They stick like a trokar.

Owners are great hooks. For those who felt the ones that they were using were inferior, why not name them?

The only problem is that bps quit stocking a complete assortment. I now have to order direct from the owner website. I use owner for flukes, senkos, worms, lizards, tubes and brush hogs.
