Saw this post on the Open Freshwater Forum and thought I would post this here. Fisherman Hit By Lightning Having caught out in a lightning storm once, that was something I would never ever want to experience again.

I've been caught in bad lightning storms twice. Both times I was fishing next to a tree line and couldn't see it coming. THAT DUDE is extremely lucky. Most lightning strikes over water have enough power to burn an adult man up like a French fry.

I'm one of the worst about staying out in lightning. Always seemed to be the best fishing as the front approached or the summer storm developed. Even experiencing line float and hair raising on my arms and back of my neck, it never slowed me down. Watching that video has made me rethink my fishing.
