I did enjoy the detailed breakdown of how Brett fishes the chatterbait but they could have waited for the last 5 minutes of the show.

You know what else really bothered me was the way Bernie Shultz practically was twisting the jaw off that 10 lber. That is not how you handle any bass much less one that big. Did anyone else notice??

He was holding the fish completely horizontal! If this is the way the rest of the shows go this year, I wont be watching.

Yea completely horizontal with the fish's jaw supporting all the weight of the fish. Why would you do that??

Lot of hating on BASS on here. I don't blame BASS for the way Bernie held that fish, I blame Bernie. And as for the show format they're obviously trying something new. Wasn't my cup of tea. Hopefully they'll pay attention to feedback and if most agree the new format stunk, hopefully they'll go back to the old or try something else. They need to tell the story of the tournament in order. While most of us knew who had won because we are fishing finatics, I think there are still lots of tournament anglers who don't follow online or on forums and recreational anglers just watching weekend fishing shows that have no idea before watching the show who won and all that. I did enjoy the spot with Mark Davis. Interesting to understand his actual tournament strategy about holding off on his fish and pattern. You don't usually get to find stuff like that out. Just how he caught em. There were a few good points about the show.

I hear what you are saying Mark. I intentionally refrained from looking at any online coverage of the entire event so that I could enjoy the show more. They ruined that in the first 5 minutes.

For me the show did not need jazzing up. I liked the way that it has been done for years. I did like the in depth interviews. I also agree that it is a much better in person experience.

I do not expect a ground breaking show, but I did not like the way this show was put together.

This was just my opinion, and simply wondered if anyone felt this way or if I was the only one.

I'm with Randy. There is NO bigger fishing fanatic than me and I also intentionally stay away from any posts that say anything about the event so that I can enjoy it on the show a week later. Heck, I'm ate up enough that my work computer has reminder appointments set the week of every show to have me be sure and tape the show........it also says "don't read forums!!". smile Yes, it's a problem. I know

I'm with Mark. It was refreshing not to see the exact same old same old. I can't believe how many of you guys didn't know the winner. Heck, with go-pro coverage on internet, they'd be hard pressed to show me something I've not already seen. Thats why I liked what they did... different and somewhat interesting. Spare me the picks of guys holding fish on stage and Mercer saying... G G G G G Giant Bass. He can only make the same rhyme so many times before I puke.

I agree about Mercer, but there is something to be said for a little drama during the final day. I guess this specific tournament would not have mattered, maybe thats why they did it? I did like the detailed talks with the pros on what they were using and how they made it different than the others. if it is something I want to watch, college football, bassmaster, whatever, I can purposely not see results to have some entertainment while watching the show.

I don't think there are many people that enjoy Mercer. Lurch was always pretty awesome. With they'd bring him in.

Almost every tournament type fishing show that I watch are excellent how-to's on how NOT to handle fish.

They have done that before once or twice. I didn't like it either.
